The first week of classes has been filled with joy and positive feedback from our students.
Since the classes are only 1 night/week per class, our staff thought it would be a good idea to call each student after their 1st class with each instructor and hear their thoughts.
I heard so many good things. Among the comments I heard, “I feel like I made the right decision to further my education. The teacher was phenomenal” and “I loved it. The instructor took it slow and I learned alot. I liked the small class group discussion”. As part of the staff, I couldn’t ask for more: wonderful instructors and engaged students enhances the learning experience tremendously.

The first open house at our Baton Rouge Center went well Tuesday (10/2) night. We had a big turnout and word of mouth is really spreading about Upper Iowa University in Louisiana.
So many people have told our staff that they are excited we are here. We have heard stories about many adults wishing they could go back to school, but many schools aren’t flexible enough for the hectic lives they lead. Our one night per week night classes helps to put them at ease and see that attaining a college degree is easier than they thought.
I’m so happy for our new students, who are taking the first step to improve their lives’ and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
**Last day to register for classes is October 15, 2012. Classes begin October 22,2012.**
