November 2-4 we had a wonderful group of teachers for our Wildlife of Prairie Roadsides session. I am looking forward to those teachers sharing what they are doing with this unit.
Seems like it is time to update my post. Our eii team will be involved in a new theme and workshop this weekend-Nov 2-4 in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Our new theme is Wildlife of Prairie Roadsides. I encourage the participants of the workshop to post as they are implementing the unit in their classrooms. Feel free to ask questions of the team and other participants as time goes on.

This is my first official entry for the eii Blog. Eii stands for environmental issues instruction. Our team offers professional development for teachers using environmental issues’ themes. Our present theme is Rain, Runoff, and Rivers: Understanding Watersheds. In November, a group of 23 teachers met at the Sleep Inn in Mt. Vernon for the initial session. They are now implementing what they learned in their classrooms. We are asking them to post information about the teaching of this theme on this blog.
Stop back to learn more and feel free to ask questions.
