I like number one and improving the internet connection. The internet always goes out at the worst possible times and it would be nice to have faster internet also. I think something should be done about the food in the cafe too because they never have variety, it’s always the same food.

i also like the idea for improving the internet,i hate that its so slow. i think the late night transportation is good cause of all the students drinking and to make sure they get home safe. i also agree with sarah about the snack bar food i go there every day before my third class and theres never anything else to choose from. besides the things i mentioned i think all the other goals are very good.

I agree with goal number 1, i think that the internet speed is okay, but could be a little better. I like the thought of getting more people to the sporting events. I enjoy going to the sporting event and watching the teams.

I like the idea you guys have for more campus-wide events. I think it would be cool to get to know more people on campus. I also like idea number one I feel that could be very helpful. I like that you want to attract more students to athletic events because as a student athlete it’s a lot more fun to play when you have the support of your school.

I agree with the first one. The internet connection is decent but it would be nice if it was faster. With faster internet it would be allot easier to download things like music and videos. Also having more campus wide events would be better because i like to get involved with them and have fun with all of the free time i have.

The internet could be a little faster, but i’m not arguing that much because my internet was a lot slower than what this is now. I like the idea of attracting more students to sporting events, because when i use to be an athlete I would love for people to come and watch and support me play and the team. Night time pick-ups is a good idea too so that there is no one breaking the law and driving when they shouldn’t be driving in the first place.

i agree with goal number one. the internet speed is a lil slow, i would like to have faster internet for the dorm areas. sometimes the internet gives out and doesn’t work. i like the idea of more student involvement, the activities we have done have been fun and interesting but it would be nice to have more.

I agree with goal number 1, the internet seems to get disconnected really easily. Finding the problem for that would be great. I also think that the food in the cafe needs to be changed sometimes. Having the same things over and over gets old. Differnet choices every once in awhile would be nice.

    Cassie,

Thank you very much for commenting! We appreciate the feedback, it helps a great deal. They are still working on the Internet issue but it is a long process to get it fixed. In regards to the cafe food, ARAMARK is a new food provider for the university and are still getting settled into everything. A lot of things will be changing once they get moved into the new Student Union but for now, they have comment cards that you can suggest different meals and they will do their best to make it possible.

    Thanks again for the comment!

    Danny,

Thank you for the feedback! The internet is being worked on but it is a long process to get it fixed. A lot of the problems come from the high traffic during certain hours of the day. If you try to use the internet during the day, there are a lot less students using the internet so the speed will be much faster and the chances that you will get cut out will go down. Also, the entertainment that is brought to our campus is decided by Peacock Entertainment Crew. If you would like to get involved with Peacock Entertainment Crew talk to Jamie Wildhage. Being involved with them will give you the power to decide who and what kind of entertainment gets brought to campus!

    Thanks again for the feedback,

    Justin

    Justin,

First, thank you for the feedback about our goals. Without feedback like this we would not know what to work on so it helps a great deal. The internet issue is being worked on as we speak. Do you have any suggestions for different campus wide events you would like to see or participate in?

    Thanks again,

    Justin

I really like the goals that was set. They are positive and supportive. It also make others relate to you personally. well I kno I can relate to a few of these set goals. (side note) I personally think we should have more social programs for freshmen and tranfer students just to get them out their dorms.

    Whitley,

Thanks for the comment. We really appreciate your input! Just simply providing incoming freshmen with the opportunity to get to know more people was one of our main ideas behind having more campus-wide events. At a small campus like Upper Iowas though, getting to know the people around you will pretty much happen naturally in time. In regards to your comment about attracting more students to athletic events, that is exactly how we felt. The key is to make sure you come out to support the other sports as well, and hopefully in turn, you’ll get even more of a turnout at your games. Once again, thanks for your input and if there is anything you would like to see changed in the future, don’t hesitate to leave another comment.

    Tyler,

Thanks a lot for the comment! The internet goal is an ongoing process we have been working on since last year and are still doing everything we can to make it as fast as possible. One of our major focal points when establishing our goals for this year was to just get more people out and involved around campus to make it a more exciting experience for everyone. We felt a great way to do this was to encourage more people to come to the various sporting events. Not only is it fun for those watching, but competing in front of a big crowd also makes it a lot more exciting for the athletes involved. Keep coming out to support your Peacocks and feel free to leave another comment in the future if there’s anything else you would like to see done around campus.

    Thanks again for your input,
    Anthony

    Sarah,

Thanks for the comment! We really appreciate your feedback. Fixing the internet is currently one of our top priorities, but it is an ongoing process we’ve been working on since last year. We will continue to stay on top of the people in charge of this, and hopefully have all the kinks worked out as soon as possible. As for the food in the cafe, ARAMARK is a new food provider for the university and they are still getting settled into everything. A lot of things will be changing once they get moved into the new Student Union. For now, though, they have comment cards available so you can suggest different meals you would like them to serve, and they will do their best to make it happen. Thanks again for your input and don’t hesitate to comment in the future if there is anything else you would like to see changed around campus.
